# How to Buy/Sell Long and Short OPerps Tokens

* *For Short Call Options, follow Steps 5 to 10 selecting Short Call Operps.*
* *To Buy Long/Short Put Options, choose the “Put” button in the asset selection box and repeat Steps 1 to 10.*

**Step 1** – Decide whether to trade in Call or Put options and select the underlying asset. Buy Long Operps tokens if you anticipate price movement or Short Operps tokens if you expect price stability. Choose between Long Call Options or Short Call Options in the token purchase section beside the price chart.

**Step 2** – For Long Call Options, check the Leverage data for the current and expected cycles displayed above the price chart and below the “Buy and Sell” buttons on the left side of the screen.

**Step 3** – Use the estimation feature under “Buy and Sell” labeled “Not sure how much to buy” after reviewing the price chart data if you are unsure how many tokens to buy.&#x20;

**Step 4** – Enter the required values and click “Apply” to estimate your purchase and place a trade order.

**Step 5** – Enter the quantity of tokens to buy, click “Buy,” and authenticate the transaction through your wallet pop-ups.

**Step 6** – After successfully placing the trade, an acknowledgment pop-up with a blockchain explorer link appears at the bottom left of your screen.

**Step 7** –  Your trade will be visible in the “Open Orders” section of the order history UI until the settlement of the current cycle.

**Step 8** – The “Positions” section consolidates all active trades into a single tab for easy viewing.

**Step 9** – Orange indicates an active trade. In the Positions tab, click the drop-down icon next to the “Sell” button to manage your trades and transfer tokens to your wallet.

**Step 10** – Confirm successful token transfer with a pop-up message confirming the claim transaction.
