# Introduction

OPerps (short for Perpetual Options) is a revolutionary decentralised platform for short term options trading. Long OPerps holders can take leveraged exposure to rise or fall in market prices, whereas Short OPerps holders can earn premium for enabling this leveraged trading for Long OPerps holders.
